HabitMatrix ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you use the HabitMatrix mobile application on Android devices ("the App"). By downloading or using the App from the Google Play Store, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimization and only collect what is necessary to provide and improve the App.

• Account Information: If you choose to sign in with Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email address from your Google account in order to create and authenticate your HabitMatrix account.
• Device Information & Identifiers: We may collect non-personally identifiable technical information such as device model, Android OS version, language settings, application version, and the Android Advertising ID (resettable) for analytics and crash diagnostics purposes.
• Usage Data: Anonymous usage statistics such as feature interaction frequency and session duration may be collected to help us improve the App. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
• User Content: Habits, goals, reminders and progress entries you create are stored primarily on your device and, if enabled, synced to your account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your account and provide core App features.
• To sync your habit data across your Android devices when you sign in.
• To diagnose crashes, debug errors, and improve performance.
• To respond to your support requests and communicate important service updates.

3. Google Sign-In

We use Google Sign-In to provide secure account authentication. When you sign in:

• We receive your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture) as authorized by you.
• We do not receive your Google account password.
• You can revoke our access at any time from your Google Account permissions page: myaccount.google.com/permissions.

4. Subscription and Payment Data

All financial transactions are processed securely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect or store your credit card numbers or banking information on our servers. Please refer to Google Play's privacy policy for details on how payment information is handled.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Your habits, goals, and progress are stored primarily on your Android device.
• Cloud Sync: If you sign in, encrypted data may be synced to our secure servers so you can access it across devices.
• Security Measures: We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit and access controls to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

6. Third-Party Services

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to outside parties for marketing purposes. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs that track your behavior across other apps. The only third-party services we use are:

• Google Sign-In — for account authentication (see Section 3).
• Google Play Services — provided by Google as part of the Android platform.

7. Children's Privacy

HabitMatrix is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

8. Your Rights

In accordance with Taiwan's Personal Data Protection Act (個人資料保護法) and applicable international privacy standards, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.
• Withdraw consent for data processing at any time.
• Object to or restrict certain types of processing.

You may exercise these rights by deleting your account from within the App settings, by using the "Clear All Data" function, or by contacting us at the email below.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary to provide the App's services. When you delete your account, your associated data is removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside of your country of residence. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any international transfer complies with applicable data protection laws.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
